Giveaway Reminder

Just a quick reminder that my Children in Need Nail Rock nail wrap giveaway ends tonight. I've extended the closing time to 11pm to give more of you chance to take part.

Children In Need Fun & A Giveaway- CLOSED

Today I will be leaving my children in Mr MB's capable hands so that I can go off gallivanting.  I am headed to Nottingham to attend the BBC Children in Need Appeal Day at Boots HQ. It's been a very long standing joke amongst friends and family that Boots is my second home, so to say I'm VERY EXCITED would probably be an understatement. I hear there will be raffles, bingo, beauty salons and product sales. This sounds like my kind of charity event! Well, apart from the Wii Dance Challenge.....I always try and maintain a safe distant from anything Wii related. I'm looking forward to telling you all about how it went when I get home on Friday evening.

Here's some more Pudsey Bear related fun. Nail Rock have created some very cute BBC Children In Need nail wraps which are currently available in Boots. They cost £6.65 per set with 25% from every purchase donated to BBC Children in Need. The new Nail Rock designer nail wrap range is designed to last up to 7 days on nails and 8 weeks on the toes, with each at home nail wrapping treatment taking just 15 minutes to apply. The Nail Rock pack contains a full set of nail wraps for fingernails and toes.

Hourglass Lash Lacquer Giveaway - CLOSED

It seems like an age since my last giveaway and I couldn't resist picking this up when I was at the Hourglass counter a couple of weeks ago. The prize is a tube of the new Hourglass Lash Lacquer. Modesty Brown Turns One!

It's been a whole year since I started writing this blog. Ironically, I started it as a way to stick to a no buy. You can see how well that went! It's been a really interesting journey so far and I quite like to look back from time to time to see how things have changed. My must-buy-from-every-MAC-collection urges have gone, I've developed a terrible habit for taupes and I've discovered many gorgeous alternative brands to lust after.

I often wondered whether I might burn out or run out of things to talk about. What keeps me going is you. The conversations and friendships that have come from writing this blog mean a lot to me. When I first started out, I was essentially talking to myself and I couldn't have conceived of followers and comments at that point. I must say a special thank you to Dainty Dollymix who found me and introduced me to the World of Twitter! I also want to say a big thank you to Visionary Beauty, London Makeup Girl, Get Lippie, Sparklz and Shine and Nina "In The Sweet Shop" for all their support, advice and inspiration over the last year.

There are so many of you that I want to thank but rather than let this turn into a long list of names, I thought instead I would do a little giveaway in honour of the occasion.

The Prize

 

The prize consists of a Haus of Gloi bubbling scrub in the scent Who Needs Love (from the recent Valentine's collection), Accessorize Eyeshadow in Molten, Nails Inc. Diet Coke nail varnish in Caramel, mini Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream and mini Triology Mist Toner. I will also include a GOSH eyeliner in Truly Brown not pictured above.
