BECCA Balearic Love News

BalearicLove

The BECCA Balearic Love collection has been available for about a week now and I have been eagerly awaiting blog posts. I had been really excited about this collection from the moment I saw the promo shots and had been very sad that it wasn't released before my self-imposed eyeshadow ban started. In fact, it wasn't until I started filling my basket with the nail varnishes (hello vamp nails!) that I remembered that I had banned myself from buying more nail colours too. This pretty much makes this collection a no go for me which is a blow as a BECCA lover.

As I can't bring you any reviews, I wanted to point you in the direction of the lovely Christa from Perilously Pale. Last night she posted the first images of that palette that I have seen and well.........it's not exactly what I was expecting. Christa's review is well worth a read if you were considering buying this palette based on the promotional pictures.

The Balearic Love collection is available from Zuneta and www.beccacosmetics.com/uk.
No doubt I will continue to torture myself by looking out for reviews.

  1. I love the look of this collection :-) Doesn't feel particularly spring-y, but still I love it anyway!

    1. Hi MV! This is actually BECCA's A/W collection and I think it was originally supposed to be out end of December/beginning of January. Hence the lack of spring-y feel. I love the sorts of colours but was quite shocked by the difference between how the palette really looks and the promo images.

  2. I wanted two things from the collection, the palette and the lip tint. After Christa's post, I crossed the palette off my list and now the lip tint (Valentina) seems to be out of stock on zuneta (apparently the shade doesn't match the visual either). :/
Tried recreating the promo look last night using items I have, didn't manage to nail it, I'd really love to know what they used!
This collection just keeps pissing me off, lol!!!!

    1. I'd definitely fallen for the way the palette looks in the promo. I guess this all softens the blow of not being able to buy it whilst on my no-buy ;)

  3. I'm sorry that Christa didn't get what she wanted, but it sure helps the rest of us with our spending.

    1. I agree Marcia, I think Christa's post will help a lot of people make up their mind on this one.

  5. You don't, but the comments do need to be approved before they are published (which you probably knew) Have a good day!

    1. Thank you for checking, I really appreciate it. The new word verification system is awful and hopefully most people will remove it whilst they can still access with old blogger interface!

  6. Its a shame that its not as described. Like you say, it softens the blow of being on a purchasing ban. Imagine if she was raving about how absolutely fantastic it was. I know i'd be gutted and looking for ways to get hot foot it to Becca stores. Its not a bad palette, but I suspect you probably have a lot of those colours already :-)
