I've used the Lancôme Teint Miracle a few times in recent weeks. I still really like the texture and finish of this foundation, I also really like the smell which I realise probably sounds a little odd! Using it again reminded me that the colour isn't quite right for me. It's a little too dark and too pink and I think it shows up in the picture below. I think the other colours that I've used pull out the 'pinkness' too. None of this has quelled my interest in the new Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation of course, though I should probably force myself to finish at least one bottle of foundation before I start buying any more.

Miss MB decided that she wanted to copy Mummy today and this is the blue hippo's look of the day. Don't worry, no makeup was harmed!

Ooh. I am in love with that palest shade in the Guerlain palette... consider my interest piqued! I too have the same problem with my Teint Miracle foundation. love the finish and texture and I think it looks fab when I apply it, but I also think it perhaps changes on my skin because I often find I look the wrong shade when I look later in the day. x
ReplyDeleteCharlie, the pale shade in Rue de Rivoli is my favourite. It's really pretty. It's very interesting that you say that the Teint Miracle changes on you as I've come to the same conclusion. It must oxidise after it's applied as to start with it looks fine. Have you tried the Idole Ultra? x
DeleteNo I haven't, not yet anyway! It's on my list...but lets face it, what isn't on my list! Hmm, its a shame because Teint Miracle has everything going for it apart from that. x
DeleteI loved that foundation, but it broke me out sadly. Great look and I love the hippo's interpretation as well :)
ReplyDeleteOh no, that's so annoying when that happens. Did you use shade 1 or 2 Martha? Glad you like the hippo :D
DeleteGreat colour lip on you (although I'm going out on a limb and saying Blue Hippo is slightly more sassy about it).
ReplyDeleteK x
Yes, I think Blue Hippo is slightly more edgy with it. Maybe I should let Miss MB have a go applying it on me next time.......or maybe not! x
DeleteGorgeous look on you and your lipstick of choice has underlined a comment I made on Ruth's blog this morning about my being drawn to nude lipstick even though it doesnt suit me and needing to find something with some colour but not so much that it wears me!! This is a great colour on you, it looks fresh and bright without over powering and whilst blue hippo might be all out there and edgy I think you wear it best! x
ReplyDeleteI love the delicate colours against your pale skin! Mr. Blue Hippo looks like Lady Hippo mow, lol!
ReplyDeletegreat lip and blush
ReplyDeleteOh I love the entire look! such a good neutral look with a pop of color on lips ;D
ReplyDeleteyou are so pretty <3
xx
Hahaha. I'm on an overall no-buy so I can't shift my shopping elsewhere. I don't see a problem with the foundation but i'm a fail at that. Mr. Blue Hippo is rocking that lippie!
ReplyDeleteYou have put together the colours so well, you look very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI like that blue hippo is sporting a nice red lip as well, bet that was fun cleaning off! ;) xx
The lipstick is truly gorgeous. Really suits your skin tone
ReplyDeleteHoly beautiful lip colour, Batman! I am going to give that a whirl, I think. It's much less blue-toned than I would expect from a shade named 'Raspberry'. Blue Hippo is definitely edgy with the lippie but his outfit doesn't do his lips justice! Hope it comes out- my eldest once COATED her fave monkey's bum with Sudocrem and let me tell you that took some work cleaning off :-)
ReplyDeleteThat lipstick is a perfect color for you! And the foundation looks really nice - great texture. I had a really hard time getting the right match as well, so maybe it's something in the undertones?
ReplyDeleteThe Teint Idole looks intriguing, though it doesn't look to be available in Canada yet. :(
Lovely look - these colors all look great on you! And blue hippo looks fabulous as well ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis lipstick looks really lovely on you and your daughter is so cute :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Gorgeous on you!!
ReplyDeleteStacy
Ahhh, so cute with the hippo kiss!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful look on you. I love that Guerlain palette, and it took me a minute to realize the Raspberry color you wore is not the same as the new Colorburst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie which is darned near straight-up fuchsia. The regular Raspberry is a perfect color on you.
Lovely!
I have a baby boy the same age as Miss MB and so far I have rarely worn makeup after he was born. I can imagine him doing the same to his favorite soft toys like Mr Blue Hippo once he sees more makeup stuff accessible on mom's dressing table.
