Les Tai Tai Model Mirror

I am far from model material but the Les Tai Tai Model Mirror has been a very welcome addition to my household. I've mentioned before that I often have to apply my makeup anywhere and everywhere in order to keep an eye on the children and this mirror has become my multi-tasking ally. The Model Mirror is great as it will stand open on it's own so I can keep my hands free. It has a couple of other useful features too.

The upper mirror is equipped with bright, battery powered LED lights. My days of clubbing and needing to check my makeup in the dark are over so I haven't really put the lights to the test but they provide a good amount of light. The feature that I have used most of all is the magnifying mirror. I'm short-sighted and wear glasses all the time, except when I'm putting on makeup and doing other face related tasks. The magnifying mirror has been very useful in helping me spot the things that I might otherwise miss. Namely eyeshadow fallout and rogue hairs! I'm not normally one to advocate plucking ones brows under high powered magnification but this light magnification  is very handy indeed.

Les Tai Tai Model Mirrors come in lots of fun designs, my favourites are the Hippy Skull II and the cheeky 'Excuse Moi' mirror pictured here. Prices range from £15 to £22 depending on the design. In the UK, they are available from Selfridges, House of Fraser, ASOS, as well as the Les Tai Tai website. Model Mirrors have recently launched in the US too, stockists include CO Bigelow, Fred Segal and Dermstore.

    1. It's a really good sized mirror. I'm sure I sound like quite the elderly lady going on about the benefits for the short-sighted!

  5. Oh I love this - sounds so useful. Glad I'm not the only one who applies makeup (& stores it!) in every room in the house!
