My Interview Face

I had a job interview today, obviously part of the getting ready ritual involved deciding what make up would be appropriate. I was going for professional without being too dour.

I took these pictures once I had returned. It was at that point that I realised I was actually sporting a Berlin Wall mini fringe. I thought I had tamed it before I went out but it seems to have been very stubborn.

Face
Lancome Teint Miracle
RMK Super Basic Liquid Concealer
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage
Shu Uemura H9 Seal Brown brow pencil
MAC Cubic blusher

I'm very pleased to say that I got a call back this afternoon and I got the job! It's only casual work but I'm excited all the same. Thanks to Secret Desire and Rue de Passy for the parts they played!

Hi Nicoletta, thank you. I'm sure it's going to be strange going back to work but as it's quite casual, I think it should be an good way to ease myself back in.

    Thanks PeachBellini!

  5. Oh, that's great, congratulations!
How do you like the Secret Camouflage? I thought I would like it more than I actually do, so I'm still searching for *the* concealer.

  14. @Ms. Wedgie: Thank you. No doubt the hairstyle made me look “Down with the kids”! ;)

@Klara: Thank you! Oddly enough I like the colour match of SC best of all. It is a little dry in consistency and definitely not *the one* for me either. The search goes on!

@Lipstick Luvvie: Thank you. My interview skills were very rusty too but I did some reading up before hand to help calm my nerves. I had a few answers to questions prepared in advance. I hope it goes well for you in Jan :)

@Meeta: Thank you. It’s the Film Noir again, it really needs replacing now but I desperately eeking it out!

@Replica: Thank you, it will be nice to have something of my own and be a grown up for a bit. I do like Rue de Passy, despite me moans it’s a palette I reach for often for a soft look. I’ve seen the spring collection and think the blusher looks lovely. The quad is pretty but I’m not sure I could use the colours. No doubt I’ll change my mind when the time comes ;)

@Makeup Magpie: Thank you, glad you like the colours.

@dempss01: What a lovely thing to say *blush*. Mostly I struggle with putting colours together but I feel I’m getting better with practice. I need to start practicing my “pens down” lines too!

    @Simone: Thank you :)

@Nina: Aw, thank you. Thank you for the support too, I did as I was told and made sure I went to bed early :). How’s the writing going?

@Tina: Thank you. The make up definitely made me feel more confident on the day. Despite my nerves, I managed to re-apply lippie before going in for my interview ;)

Thanks for the lovely comments, you’re all so kind,
    Jane x
