Giveaway! - CLOSED

I'm sorry it's taken a few days, but I finally managed to choose my prizes.

So here they are!

Photobucket

Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel No.1 Natural
Barry M Nail Paint in Mushroom
Une Lip-Toned Colour in L06
Maybelline Lash Stiletto in Black

The Pixi gel, the Une lipstick and the nail varnish I chose because I've heard lots about them and would be interested to hear what they're like. I also wanted to include a favourite of mine, the Lash Stiletto. It's the only mascara I've come across so far that actually makes my lashes longer.

The Rules
• To enter I would like you to tell me about your favourite foundation as a comment. I'm on the look out for a new one and would love to know what you really rate.
• The giveaway is open to everyone and I'm more than happy to post anywhere in the world. (If you're not a subscriber please leave me an email address).
• The competition will close on 27th June at 10pm (UK time) and the winner will be chosen at random from names in a hat, for which I will no doubt be using child labour! I'll announce the winner on the blog so that you cam email me your details.

Good luck and I shall look forward to reading you entries!

  1. Gorgeous prizes sweetpea :)

My favourite foundation of the moment is NARS sheer glow, which is convinient as it is the one i bought from you :) hehe!

I love it, gives a nice coverage which doesnt feel too heavy like some foundations can, such as MAC studio fix fluid!

Saying that, i do feel like it sits on the top of my skin & totally disapears after a few hours..so maybe i need to find a new foundation too!

I love your blog, you know i do! & congrats on the followers hun!

  2. Lovely prizes :) and none I have tried!

As for my favourite foundation..I am probably going to be the only one that says I haven't got a favourite! Which makes me really sad ha Because I really wish I had a favourite foundation because it is so important in looking nice.
I have been searching for years for a perfect colour match for my 'ivory' skin but nothing is light enough.
I currently use Max Factors Second Skin...which is ok because I use fake tan in summer...but in winter I always have a problem finding one light enough.
    Okay I am rambling now.
I hope this is an entry...I am sure it is.

  4. Hi Sinead! I'm so pleased the NARS went to a good home. The list of foundations I'd like to try is very long so I thought this might help me pick! Thank you for all the help you've given me. I'd have been chatting away to myself without you x

Hi Fee, yes it's definitely an entry ;). I think you probably amongst many not having a favourite. It must be such a pain not being able to get a good match. I've seen complaints before about many ranges not going light enough. Have you ever tried using the MAC white F&B to adjust shades? Thank you so much for all the support you've given me. I really admire your writing so it means a lot x

Thanks Kat. I've only ever tried MAC Select foundation. I like the colour match but not the finish. I'm interested in MAC Face & Body and must get round to trying it some time.

  5. Well done on the followers hun, your blog is great.

I also don't realy have any foundation that I love, I used to love Clinique Super Light Makeup until I realised that the lightest shade was too orange on me. I use Revlon Colorstay at the moment and it's OK but nothing special. I'll be checking back on this post to see what other people rate for some ideas.

    Well done again hun! xx

  6. My favourite high end is probably Nars Sheer Glow (almost dupeable with the Neutrogena Health Skin), and my favourite higher coverage drugstore foundation is probably the Revlon Colorstay :)

  7. My favourite is Revlon Colourstay, great coverage for my very uneven and blemish prone skin. It's also long lasting and actually IS transfer resistant (a lot claim to be, but hardly hold up at all).

  8. Thanks Primp and Preen! I like Clinique foundations. I used Superbalanced make up for quite a while. Like you though the colour match wasn't quite right so I didn't repurchase.

Hi Jo. I haven't come across the Neutragena foundation before. Is it available in the UK?

Hello Beauty's Bad Habit. It's lovely to see you here. I'm a huge fan of your looks and always loved looking at your posts on Specktra. :)

It's interesting that quite a few of you have mentioned Revlon Colorstay. I've used it too and agree that it is a good foundation. Buff is a good colour match for me, the only reason I haven't bought again is that I find it a little heavy on the skin. I'm using Photoready at the moment and I have one of the glitterball bottles. It really isn't subtle!

  10. My favourite foundation is the Rimmel Recover foundation - it's really affordable, gives me a lovely glow though I will say it needs to be used with a bronzer and powder on top as it can get a little shiny. It also smells lovely!

  11. Great giveaway!
I discovered your blog through your comment on lipglossiping :)
My fav foundation is from Givenchy - PhotoPerfection - but i have to admit that i don't use it every day just on special occasions
I'm more of the tinted moisturizer kind of girl.

  12. Hi Shamiaa - I've never got round to trying any of the Chanel foundations

Hi Katie - I love the sound of anything that smells good!

Hi Natty - I'm glad you've found me :). I'm interested to know which tinted moisturisers you rate too. I've been considering Laura Mercier.

  13. I've started using Armani's Lasting Silk recently, and I love it. It's a good colour match for me, doesn't feel heavy, and has SPF protection. It's like a more plump, luminous, polished version of my real face. Mmmmm, Armani.

  14. Thanks M., it sounds marvellous. I'm assuming a counter visit would be necessary. Might they want to tamper with my grey cells? My brain is currently empty so entirely susceptible to re-programming.

  15. It's not particularly exciting but the foundation I always go back to is No 7 Intelligent Colour Foundation. Medium coverage on me, and utterly flawless. Never found anything that compares.

  16. Hi Nichola! Lovely to see you here. It's funny you mentioned this as it is the only foundation I have re-purchased. I don't have one at the moment (I finished one as part of my failed project 10 pan). I like the texture, it almost like a mousse and feels lovely on. The only downside is the colour comes out a little off. I agree though it's a nice foundation.

  17. You will probably not survive the encounter, but your earthly husk will be glowing and polished. Definitely one for a counter visit, it sort of changes colour on application I'm afraid.

    ReplyDelete
  18. But M. I have THE FEAR of counters. I've confessed and everything see. Damn Armani and his amazing yet impossible to purchase online foundations!

  19. My favourite foundation (for now I'm always happy to try others!) is Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich SPF15.

I apply it with a flat topped kabuki and it just melts into my skin and looks flawless, light and slightly dewy just what I like!

  20. My favourite foundation is Revlon ColorStay. Purely because I have quite bad skin, and this has the fullest coverage of any foundation I've tried. It can look a bit cakey, but I get around that with Fix Plus and highlighting!

    Ellie :)

  21. Not meant as an extra entry - just some extra help!

If Revlon Colourstay feels too heavy, try mixing it with a primer or moisturiser to thin/ sheer it out a bit. I quite like mixing heavy foundations with a little skin illuminator and moisturiser for a light glow :)

  22. Hi Nic, I'm still kicking myself for not having the funds to pick the moisture rich foundation up when I was last at Bicester. It sounds lovely!

Hi Ellie, another vote for Colorstay, it really does seem popular. Great ideas for making it less cakey too. :)

Hi BBH, thank you so much for the tip. I have an Olay moisturiser that has a touch of illuminator in it, I bet that would work really well with it.

  23. Hello Jane! Lovely giveaway, especially for someone who doesn't live in the UK! At the moment, I'm using two (or three or four.....;)) foundations, the main ones being Clinique's Even Better foundation, which I bought because I have unsightly pigmentation on my forehead (something I have to thank post-pregnancy hormones for!! I like the foundation as it gives good coverage, has spf and is hopefully helping to lighten my brown spots, but I find I need to set it with powder because it's a little bit sticky when you first apply it...) and Armani's Luminous Silk, which gives the best coverage for the evening, a perfect canvas for the rest of the make up really! x

  24. Hello!

I don't have a favourite! I like Clinique Anti Blemish. I also love Mac Studio Sculpt. I also love CLinique ALmost make up and my all time favourite but for some reason I'm not using it much at the moment, Lily Lolo.

Great giveaway and fab blog. xx

  25. My favourite foundation at the moment it the 'Bourjois Brush Foundation. The packaging is really handy and I like the fact that the 'click' button on the bottom of the tube only dispenses a small amount of product onto the brush so nothing goes to waste! It gives a really light coverage and doesn't feel cakey and heavy! It also mixes well with moisturiser to create a homemade tinted moisturiser!

  26. Hi Anna, I have some pigmentation from pregnancy. It’s most annoying. I keep forgetting that Clinique do a few products for evening discolouration. I must look into that a bit more, thank you for reminding me. Interesting to have another mention of an Armani foundation.

Hi Charlie, I absolutely loved that Clinique almost make up you posted about. I’m really interested in giving that a try. Thank so much for the lovely comment :)

Hi Ms Wedgie, can I ask, how do you find the Bourjois foundation for getting a good colour match? I’m pretty useless at doing it and always rely on those foundation database things comparing to MAC NC20!

  27. Congrats on all of the subscribers hun. You desevre each and everyone one of them.

My Fave foundation ever has got to be MAC Studio Fix Fluid. I know this is soo old but it really does work and i have super dry senstive skin and finds this doesnt dry me out and make me look all flaky.
