I thought I'd share a little of what I've been up to today. I went along to the MAC Trends workshop this morning where Senior Makeup Artist, Cher Webb shared some of the makeup trends to come out of the AW11 fashion shows. Cher demonstrated two looks, one a recreation of a look from a DKNY show and the other from a look from Jason Wu. I will share more, including a breakdown and some of the tips I learned but here's a little look at the finished looks from today.
MODERNIST TREND - DKNY
TOUGH LOVE - JASON WU

If you're interested in keeping up with looks from the fashion shows, particularly for peeks backstage, it's worth following the MAC Senior Artists on Twitter. You can find Cher tweeting as

@MAC_Lynsey_A to name but a few.
I totally love the first one, she looks flawless but almost as she isn't wearing any make-up at all... Lovely!
ReplyDeleteshe has beautiful skin! I love these makeup looks I may try the second one for a night out!

Oh I love the first and can imagine it would look great on you Jane! Beautiful lipstick...

The first one is lovely! Really wearable as well! x
ReplyDeleteSorry to buck the trend here but to me the first one looks weird, like my awful teabagstained eyelids but with a dash of bright pink lipstick to detract. Obviously I am only likening my eyelids to the beautiful model who has skin to die for and taut, smooth, even coloured eyelids...maybe I should just stop digging!
ReplyDeleteWow i love these looks, the skin finish is flawless xx
ReplyDeleteI recognise that second look! And oh my gosh, her skin is so beautifully glowy and radiant. :)
ReplyDeleteI much prefer the DKNY look!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your comments. I'm reminded that I really wanted to post a list of all the products used for both looks. I'd love to have a go at the techniques used for the Jason Wu look using more festive colours.
