FOTD with Echo, Dusk and Solstice Halcyon

It's been a while since I've done a FOTD, with working quite a bit over the last couple of weeks, I haven't really had much opportunity to play. Typically for me, I've gone for a neutral look but I thought the pictures were worth sharing so that you could how these products look applied.

You may notice that I am wearing mascara again. As of today there are only three lash extensions remaining after just under three weeks. I know I need to post an update but I'm just so ashamed to have to admit that I am a destroyer of things that I have been putting it off! On a positive note, I don't think I've ever been more pleased with how my brows look. The threading and shaping that Daxita did has lasted very well.

  1. A lovely look Jane -as always :)
How I have managed to not give in to Solstice Halcyon (yet) is entirely inexplicable!

  2. Very pretty. You wear that nude lipstick color very well, and the blush is beautiful on you. I have always loved how you follow the eye socket so closely with your eye makeup, and that is a subtle yet smoldering look. Solstice Halcyon is making the rounds today! I wore it but didn't blog about it, but you, London Makeup Girl, and Perilously Pale all posted about SH today.

  5. This is such a lovely look, and one that I would go for myself! I've had my eye on that Becca Luminous Skin Colour for a while, and I LOVE the EF concealer. I think Echo and the Guerlain lipstick work so beautifully on your colouring too :)

  6. I love that eye look. I wouldn't have thought of pairing Dusk and Solstice Halcyon, but they work very well together.

    Your eyebrows look great.

  9. I really like your Becca and Max Factor combination on the skin, it's undetectable but gives you a fresh appearance x

  10. Wow! Your extensions actually lasted the whole 3 weeks? xD Mine barely (just barely) made it a week, and they were quite well done too. I think my lashes are just too fragile to hold them.

Your FOTD is lovely, I adore the cheeks!

  15. What a beautiful look and I love the shaping of your brows, my brows are so nonexistent there is no hope.
Do you think the Max Factor mascara compares to the Hourglass one at all? x

  16. @Nina: Thank you! I did not realise you’d resisted the lure of SH!

@Zuzu’s Petals: I noticed after I had posted that SH had had a lot of work that day! I spotted Dusk on Lisptick Luvvie too! I wore it again today, my poor little pot is all broken and abused but it is a sign that it is well loved :)

@Get Gawjus: Thank you Shifa x

@PP: I love it when that happens and you can try it yourself!

@dempss: I used up the last of my EF concealer sample this morning. I think I will have to make a purchase as I like it very much. The Guerlain lipstick is such a favourite, I fear I will run out of that soon too.

@Grace: Thank you. I have to say that looking at the pans side by side, it looks like SH and Dusk shouldn’t work. I like how it turned out though.

@Kristie: Thank you so much Kristie.

@Old Cow: Wahahahahaaaaa! My work here is done ;)

@Claire: I like the combination of the Becca and Max Factor very much. I find even with two products layered, it still gives a natural look.

@Eden-Avalon: I’m so pleased to hear that you struggled to keep extensions on too! They haven’t lasted 3 weeks. It was more like a week I guess before they were looking patchy. I tried so hard to take good care of them too!

@FragrantWitch: How exciting that you will be travelling! I’d love to see swatches of Corinthian eyeshadow and any of the crème blushers. Thank you so much x

@thehouseofy: That is one of my absolute favourite lipsticks. Glad you like it.

    @Ammie: Thank you!

@Jemmajustice: I really like both of these eyeshadows. It’s hard to go wrong with either RBR or Edward Bess products.

@Replica: Ah, I feel sad for your eyebrows. At least if there’s not much there you can fill them in in whatever shape you choose. Mine have quite a definite shape already but I love how she tightened the arch. I will be nervous to go back to the ladies in Debenhams.

I really like the MF mascara but I’d hesitate to say it’s a good as Film Noir. One of the main differences for me is that it does transfer a bit to my undereye towards the end of the day. Have you ever tried any of the MF mascaras before?

@HDTM: Thank you! And thank you very much for helping me get hold of it :)

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments. I’m glad you enjoyed the make-up.
    Jane x
