After my initial disappointment at Paradoxal having sold out at my local Chanel counter, I was thrilled to discover they still had stock in Selfridges. As soon as I left the hairdressers, I made a beeline for the Chanel counter and asked in a rather over excited way if I could get a bottle! The sales assistant probably thought I was a little bonkers but never mind.
My love of dirty purples is up there with my fondness for taupe and this particular colour ticks a lot of boxes for me. It's a good colour for autumn. It's murky but the hidden shimmer adds a little bit of extra interest. The shimmer is extremely difficult to capture in photos, so the minute I spotted a glimmer of sunshine I whipped the camera out. Hopefully you can see it in these pictures below. It has such a pretty fine red and purple shimmer to it. In duller lighting, I think it looks more dark grey and not dissimilar to Metro Chic, another of my favourites.
This is a definite winner for me and I expect to wear this a lot. As ever, I feel unable to make helpful comments about the wear as nothing lasts on my terrible nails! I wore it for a couple of days before it looked a little shabby which is about my limit for any nail polish.
So, what do you think of Paradoxal? Did you manage to get hold of it or did you opt for Models Own Purple Grey instead? Or is this sort of colour not your thing?
