Help me decide!!

I'm just sorting out my makeup bag for my holiday (yes, there's a reason I'm doing it in advance and all will be revealed!). I'm having a dither-y moment and really can't decide which eyeshadow palette to take. Rather than struggle with this complex decision making process on my own* I thought I'd enlist the help of my wise readers!

THE OPTIONS
Which palette

Which palette

The shortlist is an ArtDeco palette with a selection of shimmery neutrals, the BECCA Enigma palette, and NARS duos in Brousse and Dogon. Ideally I suppose I should just pick one as I limited with space but we all know that's not going to happen. So, I'm happy to settle for a combination of the two. Which do you think would make the most versatile pairing? I won't be going out in the evenings so this will just be for everyday wear.

You can share your thoughts in the comments or make your selection in the poll in the sidebar to the right. You've got until Friday to decide!

* Tongue most definitely in cheek, I promise.

  1. Id say the art deco palette and brousse. The art deco colours look like nice easy datime colours and brousse can be give you a smokier look if you fancy it :) x

  2. I think you take the palette with 3 shadows and the one with 4 shadows, you could make loads of different looks with 7 shadows :) Jude xx @jadlgw

  3. My first choice would be the Becca and then I might add in one of the Nars just to spice things up, I'd probably pick Brousse (but that's my favorite Nars duo so of course I'd pick it).

  4. Hm...I would say the Becca becuase of the mattes and you have your classic shimmery taupe included. You can create a neutral contoured look or smokey eyes easily. Its also really compact and I like the brush its comes with. x

  5. I vote Enigma and Brousse!

  6. I say Art deco and Dogon, Art deco is perfect for daytime, and the blue in dogon is a great night time colour!

  7. I think I'd go with the Becca - the NARS might be a bit overdone for camping (for which I still think you are nuts, by the way).

  8. I vote Brousse (for lovely deeper looks) and Becca (for simple and pretty day looks).

  9. I'd say the one with 4 and the NARS one that leans slightly blue, so you have a wide enough variety :)

  10. The BECCA I think - but probably because it's one that I want and can't get!! I'm actually toying with taking no makeup at all on holiday - we'll be swimming at least once each day I think, and there's never time for me to do my makeup! It's really only in the last twelve months that my makeup obsession has developped - last year I think I probably just took two lip balms!

  11. I'd have to go with Becca and Art Deco for the versatility...but then again, I'd also go with a hotel, pool and spa. But that's just me ;))

  12. I cast my vote for the Becca and the Art Deco palettes. Both lovely neutrals that will be easy to apply in any mirror in any lighting - essential for holidays I feel as you are so used to your own mirrors and lighting it can cause 'issues' that you will later have photographic evidence of! Have fun!

  13. i d go for art deco - light for summer, and versatile but not dark like dogon or brousse.

  14. I love Art Deco. They are so creamy and pigmented. I think if you can only bring one, that's my first choice. However, if you can bring two. I vote for the Enigma palette as well :)

  15. For sure ArtDeco Palette and Brousse!

  16. I think you should take the ArtDeco Palette and Nars Dogon. The colors all look different, so I'm sure you'll be able to get more eyeshadow combination with those 2 palettes.

  17. I'd just go for the Becca for ease and no fuss, of course if it were me I'd be planning a way to get to the shops to buy more makeup whilst on holiday, hence travelling light to begin with ;) x

  18. I'd go for ArtDeco Palette and NARS Brousse as well, they look like a good combo of more cool-toned shades (ArtDeco) and slightly warmer ones (Brousse). x

  19. I would also go for the Art Deco and NARS Brousse. Don't take anything that's difficult and/or expensive to replace, you never know what might happen to it!

  20. I think I'd go with Becca and Artdeco - although as I've mentioned on twitter Urban Decay Naked looks like a great option as well, ahem ;) I find that I always take way too much makeup on my summer holiday and then barely use any. I can imagine I'll do the same mistake again this year.

  21. I would go for Becca and Nars Brousse. I also find that overly shimmery shadows tend to migrate down my face more in hot and humid weather. I will also travel light this summer and intend to pack the Enigma and Fallen Angel palettes. That's eyes, cheeks and lips sorted!

  22. Art Deco and Brousse would be my choices :)

  23. The ArtDeco and Becca get my vote! x

  24. Art Deco and Dagon. You can go pinky, neutrally, and smokey with those combinations.

  25. Deco and Becca- more colours :) x

  26. No doubt in my mind, I'd take my Becca Enigma palette with me. It's so versatile, and even thought there's not a highlighter color, Armure is so light and soft you could bring it way up high. For a bit of kick, maybe I'd toss Brousse in the bag, too, but I'd probably just look for a single highlighter color, like my beloved Chantecaille Perle.
