My Rouge Bunny Rouge Collection

I took all of these pictures last week whilst we were enjoying some very late summer sun in the UK. I anticipate the number of good days for photography will start to dwindle very soon so I thought it made sense to take advantage of the sunshine. I don't often do brand collection posts, I'm not sure if they're helpful or not but Rouge Bunny Rouge is such a photogenic line, I think it lends itself well to this type of feature.

I wanted to share this first picture just to show you what a shocking box hoarder I am. I'm especially bad with RBR as the order packaging is pretty too. I love their attention to detail.

I was actually a little surprised by how much I had once I gathered it all together. My collection has grown steadily over the last 18 months or so. I have purchased the majority of my RBR from Zuneta but there are a couple of items that I bought from a sale site last year as well as a few pieces that were received for review.

Rouge Bunny Rouge is in my top three favourite cosmetic brands. I know some people are put off by the fact that it's mostly an online only line. Of all of my purchases, I would say that I have only made a single error and even then the quality was excellent, it was simply a colour that didn't suit me. Although it's hard to pick a single most favourite item, if I'm ever asked for recommendation, I will usually suggest trying their eyeshadows first. Personally, I find I reach for Coy lipgloss a lot. I'm not really a gloss girl but the colour and shimmer is perfect. Delicate Hummingbird is my favourite of my eyeshadows. I also use both the Lacquer Liner and Eyes Wide Open highlighter pencil on a regular basis.

I still have a number of RBR items on my wishlist. I'd like another of the powder blushers and reading Marcia of Beauty Info Zone's review of the Blush Wands renewed my interest in these beauties. The Seas of Illumination highlighters and blusher brush tap away at my brain but both are definitely splurge items so I'm waiting for a special occasion to treat myself.

Have you tried RBR? Do you have a personal favourite item from the brand?

  1. RBR is definitely one of my favourite high end brands and I like seeing collection posts and being a bit nosy;) I still have lots of things I would like to get like the Delicate Hummingbird & Bejewelled Skylark eyeshadows.

  2. I love RBR and need to do a bunch of posts in the near future. I am also a box hoarder, but for organization purposes :)

  3. I've never tried RBR, and I'm so sorry I missed Zuneta's free shipping offer. I'm dying to try the shadows, eye liners and lipglosses. By the way, I have a similar collection of Chanel boxes! don't know why I've kept them...

  8. Excellent collection, MB. I agree it's hard to pick a favorite, but if you twisted my arm ...I'd say Solstice Halcyon and the blush in Gracilis and sheer lipstick in Murmurings.

  9. You have a lovely collection, I think we have quite a lot of the same products. You make me wish I'd kept all my boxes now ;)
I'm thinking I might pick up one of their more brighter blushes soon as I think that might work as a bit of a perk for your face for the coming winter months.
So if RBR is in your top three, what are the others, I'm guessing Le Metier but whats the other Becca?

  10. @Meeta: I still remember the moment that we got to see the whole collection altogether! The ultimate having a nosy!

@Martha: I cannot wait to see those posts. I keep the boxes 'just in case' but it's silly in the case of RBR really as I don't anticipate selling or swapping any of it!

    @Eden-Avalon: LOL!

@Ava: What a shame you missed out. I always try and flag up the free delivery as I know it's especially good if you just want to try one or two things to start with. Hopefully there will be something similar again around Christmas time.

@productdoctor: I honestly think you would love them.

@Marina: Thank you Marina. I think Bejewelled Skylark is one of their gems!

@lalalucy: You're welcome. Delicate Hummingbird was my first purchase and still a favourite/

@Old Cow: Remember to share if you do ;). I love a good RBR ogle!

@Zuzu's Petals: I have Gracilis in mind for a future purchase. I'm a big fan of Murmurings too, such a perfect balance of colour and gloss.

@Replica: Why thank you. I have you and Grace to thank for introducing me to the wonderful RBR! You're making me wobble now with the mention of Becca but my top three are: RBR, Le Metier and Hourglass. Becca probably in 4th! By the way, I did check the Revlon for you and it had none of the ingredients you asked about :)

Thank you for all of your lovely comments,
    Jane x

  12. Wow, I am impressed (and that's usually not an easy thing to do)!!!!

Love your collection, you have a great selection of products and shades!!! And a great eye for RBR eyeshadows..no...wait, that's me - well, it seems like we're RBR e/s twins, aren't we? Lol!!!

Ok, I'm gonna need help on the Zuneta w/l soon! So I may get a little annoying on the twitter playground!!!

  13. Gorgeous! All three RBR shadows that I have are actually the ones you have as well (D Hummingbird, Blackpepper Jay and Abyssinian Catbird) and I have my eye on Solstice Halcyon and that black one, Fairy-wren next. The RBR eyeshadows, lipsticks and the 008 eyeliner brush are probably my favourites from their line. And quality-wise all of their products I've tried have been excelent, but I have made the mistake of choosing the wrong colour once (nude lipstick Prey of Lust, ugh). x

  14. I can't believe I didn't think of Hourglass, well I hang my head in shame ;) thanks for checking the Revlon for me!
Unrelated but did you see that Soap & Glory makeup range in Boots, looks like some things might be ok x

  15. @SilhouetteScreams: Abyssinian Catbird is an amazing colour. Quite unique and the texture is incredible.

@Tina: Thank you! Just give me a shout about Zuneta shopping, I'm always happy to corrupt....I mean help ;)

@Klara: So it's not just me with a lipstick error? I agree that the quality is very high.

@Replica: You're welcome on the Revlon. I still haven't seen the S&G makeup in person but as I mention to you, I think that's one I can miss as I'm not a fan of the range generally. Did you manage to resist?

  16. Where did you get them? I live in the us we don't have a store here that sells rbr but I really want to try some out !!

  17. Hi Katherine, you can buy RBR from www.zuneta.com and they ship worldwide. I buy online too as there isn't a counter in the UK, I find I trust the brand and quality enough not to hesitate over buying products unseen. I love RBR as you can see!

  18. Hi Jane,
I think I will be able to resist the S&G after another look as I just can't get pass the packaging, guess its a love of hate type thing ;) x
