On the Bobbi Brown website this is described as a bright apricot which I don't think is all that helpful in terms of shade description! It's certainly appears very bright in the pan and I think it sits somewhere between coral and hot pink. It's not as bright on the cheeks as you'd expect from the colour in the pan. It's certainly very wearable and quite a universal colour. I've included pictures in natual light and with flash so that you can hopefully get a good idea of how it looks on the cheeks.
Here's a list of what I'm wearing on the rest of my face
Face
Korres Watermelon Light Tinted Moisturiser
Can't remember which under eye concealer
Shu Uemura brow pencil
Bobbi Brown Apricot Blusher
Eyes
MAC Painterly paint pot
MAC Dirty Greasepaint stick as base
MAC Satin Taupe e/s
MAC Brule e/s from crease up to brow
L'Oreal Super Liner in Black Crystal
L'Oreal Voluminous mascara
Lips
Edward Bess Ultra Slick lipstick in Secret Desire
Apricot is priced £16.50 and is available from Bobbi Brown counters Nationwide or can be ordered online from www.bobbibrown.co.uk
I'm wearing satin taupe today, too! I still have quite a few of the old BB blushes. It's pretty on you!

Its a very pretty colour. I love when blusher are a bit deceiving and you try and find out it works! Best part of make up x
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!! Is it bad that I can't remember if I have this or not!!You know you have too much makeup when...
ReplyDeleteReally lovely on you and the lipstick looks a perfect colour too x
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the perfect colour for that flushed cheeks effect!

@Café Bellini: I love Satin Taupe, I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it. Which BB blushers do you have? When I was checking the prices, I spotted some others which may warrant some investigation ;)
ReplyDelete@Ali: Thank you. I actually bought it after a make over I had done in preparation for my wedding. I only came away with this and Taupe eyeshadow but they were great choices. It’s my 4th Wedding Anniversary today so I suppose that shows how long I’ve had it!
@Blushingloves: Thank you, I really like it. It’s definitely worth checking it out.
@Bella Queen: It’s fuuny isn’t it, some colours just don’t look how you would expect from the pan. I think you said that was the case with NARS Taj Mahal? I hope my memory serves me correctly. If this hadn’t been used in a makeover I think I would have completely disregarded it.
@Michelle: Ha ha! I think it’s one of those things that comes with having an extensive collection. ;)
@Nicoletta: Thank you so much, I was a little worried that the lipstick was a little pale with against my face. I love the colour though.
@Get Gawjus: Thanks, I really love it and should use it more often, it’s such a pretty flush of colour.
@Fee: Ah, thank you! I love that make up can perk up my face. I definitely have been looking a little grey of late so perky blusher is essential!
Thank you for all of the lovely comments,
Jane x
Thanks Eyelining, I love it and really ought to use it more often x
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that creme blush...it's the kind of thing that makes me keep coming back to Bobbi Brown time and time again.
ReplyDeleteThanks BBB, it's a great colour. I think Bobbi Brown does some fantastic staples x
