I wasn't very happy with the lip swatches of Chanel Bonheur that I posted yesterday. I have tried again to take some pictures that show a better representation of how the colour looks on my lips. I think part of the problem is that if I don't take the picture immediately as it is applied, the colour starts to fade with wear.
I feel these pictures are better at demonstrating the depth of colour as I apply.
Hopefully you can see that it's quite a lot darker and more wine coloured than it appeared in my original post. I feel happier now that I have a better colour representation for you.
How timely - I have just reviewed Boy which was my purchase of choice but Lipstick Luvvie suggested Bonheur as a good second to try...from these pics Jane I can see why, a bit more depth. Thankyou. Jan x
ReplyDeleteI love the Chanel rouge coco shines!
ReplyDeleteThis shade is lovely on you. Have you tried Boy?
That is a nice, just-bitten-a-berry shade. I haven't been grabbed by these, I think I just like the Chantecaille Lip Sheers best.
ReplyDeleteLove the shade Jane. I like how easy these are to wear too.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely, natural lips - with a twist!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks great on you!!

I've just been looking at the two posts and they look like two different shades this one looks like cherries the previous pictures make it look more like watermelon if that makes sense.
ReplyDelete@Jan: This is a lovely shade. I have been pondering Boy but wondered if it wouldn’t show up as colour on me. What do you think?
ReplyDelete@Tara: I haven’t tried Boy but it’s one I was trying to decide on. I wasn’t sure if the colour was too close to my lip colour?
@Grace: I do think the Chantecaille are superior. I was swatching some the lip chics on Thursday and they have some lovely shades.
@dempss: Thank you! I agree, they are definitely easy to wear.
@Tina: Thank you. I really like this colour, I had originally sent my OH out for another colour but I’m glad I changed my mind!
@Skin Scrubs: It does make sense and it’s why I felt I had to go back and take more pictures. This post is the accurate colour representation, or at least it is as it looks to me immediately after I have applied. These sorts of colours are often very hard to get a camera to ‘take’ correctly. I do spend a lot of time making sure the colours are right and I always say if I think they’re slightly off.
