Friday Makeup Porn

It's Friday, the sun is shining and because I'm a bit lazy so generous I thought I'd share some pictures of pretty things I've bought recently. None of these have been applied yet but you can expect reviews once they have.

ROUGE BUNNY ROUGE WISHING FOR WINGS - FIRE DROPS

NARS SIN BLUSHER

NARS BROUSSE EYESHADOW DUO

I bought the RBR pigment from Zuneta and both NARS items from www.asos.com. I know the pictures are rather biased towards the pigment but RBR packaging is just so pretty, I think it's justified!

There's more to come too. The Biochemist asked if I wanted anything picking up from Oxford whilst he was there so I promptly put an order in for a Chanel Coco Rouge Shine lipstick......and then a Dior Addict lipstick. I was obviously pushing my luck with the Dior and I will be going out on a separate mission for that over the weekend! I really dithered over my colour selection with both lipsticks. I originally asked for Deauville in the Rouge Coco Shine but I changed my mind at the last minute to Bonheur and even the Biochemist said I'd made the right decision. At the moment, I'm thinking New York in the Dior Addict, although Vintage, Tailleur Bar and Androgyne are all in the running. You can see swatches of the complete range of Dior Addict and Coco Shine lipsticks on KarlaSugar.

What have you purchased recently? Will you be trying anything new over the weekend?

  1. I'd love to say it was the word "Friday" that caught my eye when this post title appeared on my blog roll. But you know me better! You got me wanting Nars now you do realise that don't you, need to see that blush and the eye shadows in action as they both look stunning. Refuse to be swayed by RBR stuff as would dither for year over any online purchase made sight unseen! Loving that your OH buys you lippy to order. Mine said to me this morning "we need to talk about money" in THAT tone of voice so guessing am going to have to keep my secret stash well out of sight for a while! Have a fab weekend hun xxxxxxxxxx

  6. I'll be interested to see how you get on with NARS Sin - I've heard that it's 'instant cheekbones'. I think Bonheur is gorgeous too xx

  7. Love the porn especially the RBR. Purchased more IsaDora eyeshadow palettes. Hopefully, I will go on a low buy after this and just watch what you porn!

  8. NARS Sin is my favorite blush! I also have Brousse but I haven't used it yet. The RBR is very pretty indeed and if I didn't already have enough shimmery taupes/greys, I'd be after this.

  9. I plan on stopping by a Chanel counter to play around with the Chanel Coco Shines. 'Boy' is being shipped to me and will arrive Monday, but I would like to investigate the other shades more. I look forward to your review on Bonheur.

  11. Hi, I just bought Mac's Play Time from the Cutie Collection. It's a light lilac colour, creamy with a slight sheerness. Really lovely for Spring! x

  13. Oh, pretties! RBR packaging is just so beautiful, though I'm not really a fan of loose shadows, and Nars' Sin blush has been on and off my wishlist for ages, can't wait to hear what you think of it. And out of the Dior Addict lippies the ones that I like the most are Blush, Vintage, Diorkiss, Icon and New Look. Although this selection probably changes daily, there are just too many pretty colours. x Klara

  14. @Debbie: OH is quite used to it now I think! When he went to the States he was packed off with a shopping list ;). I’m still finding my feet with NARS: I have 3 eyeshadow duos, 3 blushers a gloss and the bronzer. I guess it sounds like rather a lot written down! I usually stare at swatches for hours trying to decide which item I should get. There will definitely be more pictures of the colours in action, I promise :)

@Jennifer: I love Bonheur, I’m so pleased I had the last minute change of heart. I did look at your lip swatch quite a few times in the course of my decision making ;). I hope the revision is going well x

@Kelsey: Thank you! I couldn’t resist sharing the pretty pictures.

@Jan: It’s a very pretty colour, a bit silver, a bit mauve. I’m trying to work out what best to pair it with at the moment!

@Replica: I’m liking Brousse a lot so far. It’s darker than I normally wear on my eyes but not in a way that I don’t feel comfortable wearing it in the day. I hope to post about it very soon.

@Dempeaux: Bonheur was definitely the right choice. OH described Deauville as being very meh! I’m pleased with Sin too, when I first opened it up I was all set to send it back but I must have been sat in weird lighting as it looked brown. I’m glad I didn’t go with my first instinct as it’s really nice.

@Olivia: The RBR is most definitely worthy of the title MU porn! I seem to have periods of buying lots in one go and then having some ‘quiet time’. I’m not sure I’m finished with the latest buying surge just yet ;)

  15. @Joolz: Sin is lovely and I’m really pleased with Brousse, I’ve used it a couple of times now. It’s darker than I’d usually wear but it makes a nice change. Re: the RBR, I’m not sure if I have anything to similar but I might be kidding myself. A swatch comparison might be in order.

@Jenn S: I’m very pleased with Bonheur. I was keen on Boy but having seen a few lip swatches, I feared it wouldn’t add any colour to my lips. It’s one I’d like to see in person I think.

@nicoletta: Mata Hari is one I’ve considered too. I always wobble over NARS as there’s so many that I want to try!

@Claire: That sounds interesting. I haven’t looked at any of the Cutie collection, I wasn’t sure if anything would appeal. I’ll have to take a look on Specktra for swatches to see if I’ve wrongly dismissed it.

@Skin Scrubs: I couldn’t help myself. Fortunately I don’t seem to have suffered any spam as a result of the title!
@Klara: It is hard with the Dior Addict isn’t it, there are so many colours, just picking one is hard work! The RBR pigment has a little stick applicator type thing at the end so it doesn’t seem as messy as most loose pigments. I wore some other loose pigments today and my face was a state! This wasn’t fallout, it was an explosion! Lol

Thank you for your comments, I’m pleased you enjoyed the pictures!
    Jane x
