Les Khaki De Chanel

These are a few images from the upcoming Les Khaki collection. There are 3 nail polishes that make up the collection, Khaki Vert, Khaki Rose and Khaki Brun.

Peter Phillips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup designed the collection to celebrate Vogue's "Fashion's Night Out". The colours, which I think are a new and interesting spin on the trend for murky nails, are designed to be worn alone or combined.

These colours really appeal to me, I particularly like the look of Khaki Rose and Khaki Brun. Having missed out on Paradoxal, I'm particularly keen to get my hands on at least one of these! Unfortunately, these won't be available on all counters and will be exclusive to Selfridges stores and Chanel Boutiques (UK). I imagine, as with all Limited Edition Chanel nail varnishes, these will sell fast and it's probably worth calling up to register your interest ahead of release. Les Khaki will be available from the 10th September.

  1. Just to give you the heads up the SA at my Chanel counter told me that Chanel are going to stop taking reservations over the phone due to the number of polishes that end up on ebay for stupid money.

Not sure when it is starting though.

  2. Thanks Clairey, that is really helpful to know. It's not really fair people buying up bottles just to sell on ebay, I can understand why they don't want to fuel it.

  3. Jane, you are making me think twice now about this collection. I would love to know how Khaki Brun compares to Particuliere. Khaki Rose looks quite nice ;O)

BTW- love the shorter coif on you!

  4. Khaki Vert looks lush, although being a cheapskate I am hoping that one of the cheaper ranges will pick up this nice dusty sludgey green and give it a go - I am talking to you Models Own!!

  7. I really want Khaki Vert, but I'm going to restrain myself! I don't think I can get to a Chanel Boutique or Selfridges when they come out! x

  8. @jv: I have to say what you said about the nappy contents before made me laugh, I can definitely see where you’re coming from! Particuliere is another that I meant to get and didn’t, I have a feeling that’s part of the permanent line though? I love the look of Rose. Thanks for the comment about my hair, I’m really liking it shorter :o)

@Debbie: I’m sure you’re right that one of the other cheaper ranges will take their “inspiration” from these shades. Are the Models One polishes good quality?

@Makeup Magpie: I think Khaki Rose looks lovely, glad you like it too!

@Ali: That is a point. I’ve had a couple of colours recently that just looked wrong against my skin. Barry M Pale Purple/Berry Ice Cream in particular looked off on me. Fingers crossed Chanel have gone for universally flattering tones! I’m liking your choice too ;)

@TheBristolBeautyBlog: I’m hoping I can time a visit to London when these are due out. Hopefully Debbie will be right and other brands will bring out similar shades that you can get your hands on (pardon the pun!). I keep meaning to look for some Paradoxal dupes!

    Thanks for all the comments,
    Jane x

  9. I really like Models Own polishes, they wear well and the couple I have I don't have any application issues with, I prefer a thinner polish but that is good and opaque and these tick that box. What I love most about them is the range of shades, they do a purple grey that I am desperate for, which Michelle at ALU mooted as a sort of Paradoxal dupe, but it doesn't have the shimmer which sets Paradoxal apart, although you can see from her swatches what a gorge colour it is. I am after Purple Grey and Slate Green this weekend and if I find them will post swatches.
