Orly Galaxy Girl

Orly Galaxy Girl is another of the Cosmic FX collection that Katie My Lips But Better sent me as part of our International Exchange. I put this on at the beginning of the week and it was instant love. It's a really complex colour and I don't think my pictures capture all of the nuances. In one direction it looks like a plummy purple with red reflects but turn your hand another way and it's a chocolate brown with beautiful green and silver sparkle.







It has lasted ok. I found some shrinking at the tips overnight but I always suspect the Seche Vite is at fault for this. Chipping only started after a day or so which is not unusual for me. This is two coats and in the pictures it looks a bit sheer. I assure you it doesn't look that way on my nails. I'm absolutely thrilled with this nail polish, I think it's my favourite of the three. If you happen to spot this colour available for delivery in the UK, I would definitely recommend picking it up.

    I like this one too, if only I had more hands I would wear all my nail polishes! I use Seche vite fast drying topcoat and haven't had any shrinkage problems but I do apply regular topcoat before it.

    Love shades like this..that almost look a different colour depending on how you move your hand!

    Also think shades like this are perfect for Winter...a really nice berry shades thats definitely not boring!

    Hi Olivia! That's interesting, do you apply the regular topcoat and then add the Seche Vite before that dries? I know that others do report issues with SV causing shrinkage. I know it's related to chemical incompatibility but I can't remember the details. I do love this polish, as you say, if only we had more hands. I could do with an extra face too!

    Hi Fee! Me to, it does result in lots of hand twiddling though! You're right it's definitely a good one for this time of year. Although I like Paradoxal with the hidden shimmer, I have to admit I prefer this colour.

    Hi Leanne, you're right, it does have a Club quality to it. I think the polish or possibly the shimmer is duochrome. It gives a really nice effect.

    I love these orly polishes. They are so nice for a night out as they are a bit different and my favourite colour is purple. I am not sure if I have the same one as you or the more blue toned one but either way, I am in love! xx
