| Turkish Smoke lipgloss |
This was a PR sample from my Le Metier makeover, I'm not sure it's available as part of their permanent line. I suspect it's not a colour I would have chosen for myself, however I think it's really flattering on. It's dark enough to suit this seasons goth lips trend but as it's a gloss it's probably a little easier to work with.
It is quite pigmented, you only need a small amount to get good coverage. It's not as moisturising as the colours in the lip kit and it has a slight tacky feel to it. I really like the colour though and the peachy-gold glittery sparkle is very pretty. As you will see from the pictures, it fades to leaves a nice stain on the lips too.

ReplyDeleteI really like this colour. Like you I thought it was initially a bit too dark, but I put it on with Le Cirque on the eyes and it works nicely. Sometimes trying something out of your comfort zone can be a nice surprise. Sorry you're having such a stressful week, Jennifer X

ReplyDeleteHey Jennifer, you're right, sometimes it's worth trying something a little different rather than dismissing it. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. I was also surprised by how pigmented the gloss is.
Hi Missy Ellie! How are you doing? I'm pleased you like the look. The first time I used this colour I had gone for a darker eye look and it just didn't work. I think it looks nice if everything else is quite muted.

ReplyDeleteI don’t think my SpaceNK order has been despatched yet, I couldn’t resist going to Henley to the store though for a look this afternoon. I wanted to look at the NARS blushers but none of them where how I’d expected. I just spotted the colour wardrobe when a SA came up to me. I was going to get an LM blusher then asked about the secret concealer. She matched me to SC-3. I’m positive it’s wrong but I handed over my card all the same. I wish I’d just ordered some Burberry now. There’s nothing exciting about concealer, especially when it’s probably wrong, lol!!

ReplyDeleteYes, its just not the same buying things like foundation, concealer and powder, they seem like essentials rather than exciting frivolity.
Well I was shade #1 in the LM secret concealer so would say you were #2, that will be a bum if it is wrong, presume you could take it back though as it would be the SA's fault?
My SpaceNK has not despatched either, ugh x
I tried it this morning and it looks fine but I'm very suspicious! I do wish I'd thrown caution to the wind and bought the Colour Wardrobe. Or at least picked up LQ Saint Pink and a Shu eyeshadow (can you tell I'm fighting the urge for more online shopping?)
